1st Presentation - Iraq

The 1st presentation for our informative speech was presented this morning, 26th of December, by Sis NorSoleha (Yaya: did I get the spelling right?)
Topic Presented was on the country Iraq.

Eyllia: As for me, sis Sol had the confidence..She can improve her presentation in terms of tone and the way she answered the questions..Moreover, her presentation was abruptly started because she didn't open it with something that grab the attention of the audiences..Nevertheless, sis Sol's presentation was good :) ALL THE BEST SIS!!!

Yaya: In my very honest and humble opinion, I think that overall Sis Sol's presentation was good as well. she made a very good preparation as she provided us with the slides (which i did not even think of doing myself). i very much like the historical background of the topic but she did not include the country's current background info (eg. the current president, etc.) i would very much like to hear an in-depth info on the current issues of the country but i don't blame her for the lack of info that was delivered as the time given was only 10 minutes. her facial expression did not change when presenting and it gave me the impression that she seemed nervous and her tone was monotonous.
but all in all, it was good. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! ^o^

jay: now, its my turn to give my humble opinion. The historical background of Iraq involves the famous and flourishing like the Mesopotamia and the Sumerians. But nowadays, there are many conflict arise and the news about Iraq always appear in the media. The conflict in Iraq is mainly about conquering oil resources and its strategic location. The major conflicts are the First Persian Gulf War, the Second Persian Gulf War and the Third Persian Gulf War. The biggest story of Iraq in this century is about the September 11, 2001 attack in New York. It is the George W. Bush’s agenda and accuses Iraq has connection with Al-Qaida which is known as the terrorists. Then, he accuses Saddam Hussien and tries to capture him. The U.S attacks Iraq and captured the terrorists. The U.S. media also manipulate the readers and audiences in order to make people believe that the terrorists are like Saddam Hussien which are Muslim, wearing turban and jubah and long beard.
>>>>Regarding soleha's presentation, i think she did a great job because she has the confidence during her presentation. eventhough she has prepared for the presentation, she could improve on her voice tonation and gestures such as raise her voice at the important point and move about.
